Bombay September 1946

Today would have been my Dad's 91st birthday. I've been looking through old photos from his National Service days in India. He contracted typhoid when in Bombay which affected the rest of his life and what he was able to do. The typhoid led to an abscess on his spine and he was shipped back from India to the UK. He spent quite a time in the RAF hospital in Ely. Sadly I know little else as he didn't talk much about it, and I was too young to be interested.
