Or not...earlier in the week I was told by the Germans that my birth certificate didn't match my other legal documentation and I must get it amended. I set this procedure going and thought all was good...today I got an email from the county hall telling me I have to provide evidence that my middle name was spelt incorrectly on the birth certificate - this can be any one of a number of documents (immunisation, bank account, baptism certificate) but has to be dated within three months of my birth...I've passed this job onto dad, seeing as it was ultimately his error in the first place...

In other news, Jake went to his first coffee shop today and didn't disgrace himself, probably facilitated by the little old lady next to us who randomly had a packet of dog treats with her. It was exhausting though, he slept all afternoon!
