Eyes

I am having real trouble at the moment sleeping due to the high pain levels I am experiencing in my legs. I am getting neuropathic (shooting/stabbing) kind of pain and it also feels like spiders are crawling over my legs. This pain is on top of my EDS pain that feels like a really bad deep ache and my legs feel really heavy.
I was still awake at 5AM having not slept. When I can't sleep, I try to distract myself by listening to my ipod and reading. I was reading when I saw some flashing lights in my left eye - I was worried because I know someone with EDS who has had a detached retina. My mum took me to the Eye Hospital today to get it checked - after a 3hour wait I was thoroughly checked out - I had drops put in my eyes and all is OK :)
I am so lucky to have such a super mum - I would be lost without her, she rocks xxx
