Carnival!

A fantastic day spent at the Edinburgh Mela festival, which just seems to be getting better and better every year.

We went early, which was fortunate, as soon the queue to get in was stretching as far as the eye could see. I'm so pleased it seems to be finding its stride as the multi-cultural festival for the city.

Amazing food stalls - especially Babu Bombay Street Kitchen which if you are in Glasgow you must check out as they do lots of markets there. Gorgeous clothes, community stalls, world music, dance and fashion shows.

This stunning Brazilian dancer was fab - though I had to laugh later on when we saw her wandering around in jeans, with her elaborate feathered headdress in a plastic bag!
