Barwon River at sunset
This is an unusual view of the river for me.
It is further downstream than my usual dog walking section, and is busy by day with water skiers, dragon boats, and rowing teams.
Many evenings, this little jetty is busy with refugees fishing to assist their meagre food budgets. Their wives and children meet to share the day in the adjoining park.
Right now, we are nearing the end of the annual blue-green algae bloom. There are signs all over warning to avoid contact with the water for humans or pets. The water can make you pretty sick or if you are lucky, just covered in a rash.
So, the huge mossies have it all to themselves for a while.
