War Memorial in Angus

A bright, sunny day

Another beautiful day so we decided to go to Letham Craft Shop for afternoon tea.On the way we passed this War Memorial near the village of Carmyllie (see map). I was struck by the simplicity and the beauty of the bright sky behind. Co-incidentally, a memorial to the war dead of the Iraq/Afghanistan conflicts was unveiled in London the same afternoon. It seems there are always wars or rumours of wars and I guess it is good to honour those who fight in our name.
