Fly on a flower

Or is it a fakir fly practising its bed of nails routine on a soft bed? A trip out to Wisley in the morning then a quiet afternoon in the garden, planting a couple of new acquisitions, including a miniature buddleia to pull in a few butterflies (that might make a few blips). Sad, I know.
