Sails

We spent a pleasent couple of hours wandering the "Historic" South Quay this afternoon enjoying the Maritime Festival. I don't think it was as good as last year but there was still plenty to see.

Arwen & Bernie went aboard a lifeboat and Billy took them on the two tall ships that were moored in the harbour. One of them, the "Tres Hombres" is actually a working cargo ship that still ferries cargo around the world using mainly the sails and the wind. All as self sufficient as they can possibly be. A fair-trade cargo ship. It spends 8 months of the year at sea and tomorrow will be setting sail to Africa.

These masts & sails belong to the other tall ship, I can't remember the name of it though.
