Wendy's Gold
Kanyl is a bit of a galanthophile. I was going today to give him a hand in the garden - weather permitting. It turned out to be a lovely afternoon and after a quick trip to a local garden centre for onion and shallot sets we made a good start on "de-winterising" his garden.
Wandering round the garden looking for a blip I spotted this little beauty. A rare variety of Galanthus pilcatus. Developed in this country the bulbs were sent to Holland for mass production where they were promptly wiped out by disease. Fortunately a few had been kept in this country so all was not lost.
