Vive Google !
Today I finally managed to turn my 92-year old (initially very sceptical) Dad on to the Internet ! He was astonished to find, thanks to Google' 'digitization of books' project, an old monograph he remembered originally seeing in the dusty stacks of the Regional Archives. It told the story of how in the 13th C, the King of France collected 50% of our village's wealth, which was its woods. Today the village still owns woods, and each villager can collect 100% of his/her share. The wood is then neatly stacked all round the village for winter fuel.
