A view from Jeanneb

Across the Aire

This was taken just before 8.00 am this morning on our ladies walk around St Ives Estate, walking along Altar Lane. So nice to be out on a sunny morning in full daylight.

The village of East Morton appears to be just beyond the end of these fields but in the hidden Aire Valley there is the River Aire, the Leeds Liverpool canal and a busy trunk road plus a continuous ribbon of housing development at Crossflatts leading towards Keighley.
Above East Morton you can see Bingley Moor which leads over to the famous Ilkley Moor.

Just liked the views this morning but we had a but of fun in the pylon field with the dogs. Buster had found a big stick but the tireless sheepdogs Dizzy and Pip wanted in on the fun.
You can see them in the extra with the well named Dizzy eventually getting a hold of the stick and wrestling it from Buster.
Both swans were at the pond feeding station and are now chasing away the ducks. Just out of reach of a good photograph was one of the Goosanders.

A lovely start to the day if a bit breezy.
