Sewing

I almost forgot photo of the day - slightly overly engrossed in tacking a cot bumper I'm making for the toddler (soon to be for the littlest as the big bed swap is about to happen).  Toddler will move into a larger cot and the littlest into a proper cot.  All change....   Anyway, emergency photo, partly because the camera hadn't charged today and partly because, well, I nearly forgot.

Anyway, I thought I'd made the bumper, only to see it collapse, decision is that it needs quilting.  I've never quilted anything in my life and a quick look in the sewing book today sad the first step is to tack the whole thing together.  So my nice quick job, is now a bit of a monster.  Quilting pattern arriving tomorrow, shortly followed by new adventures with the sewing machine.  

Posh playgroup today, it's edging up to being my favourite and I can chat to my new friends and it's nice and calm.  As I chat, I can watch the eldest eat way more than his fair share of 'snack' and today I had to try and wrestle someone else's juice beaker from him.  His would not do and there were many tears.  On my part, it's total and utter envy that the end of his world is a juice beaker, oh for life to be so simple.  He's now progressed and has two words - hi and bye - woe betide not saying hi when greeted
