To Crochet Or Not To Crochet?

It's something I've always wanted to try but have never got around to....and the other day my Mum mentioned a new series of magazines for beginners to learn how to crochet....perfect! Even better, she bought us a copy each! This is my first attempt at a slip chain. I think I've made a couple of the stitches slightly too tight but not to worry, I'll be starting on the "redcurrant" yarn in a moment, rather than the practise yarn. Oh and it will take two years of weekly issues and a cost of over £300 to make the gorgeous throw on the cover of this first issue!!!!!!! I think I'll just attempt to finish the first square first...after all, if it's anything like the effort I've put into knitting over the past few years then I don't think I'll be £300 out of pocket!
