A Little Bird with a Big Appetite

The siskins are back in our garden, and joining in the free-for-all at the bird-feeders. They may be tiny, but they don't scare easily.

The birds are ravenous - or maybe just greedy. I covered the tray of this table with sunflower kernels this morning, and by three pm, nearly all were gone.  Only small birds can fit in here - the pigeons and blackbirds patrol the ground underneath in the hopes of scavenging a few morsels.

This guy did pretty well, hoovering up the last remains!
