The Farm Rock

I was inspired to take this today thanks to the bliplink challenge of Wendles56 set up yesterday . My links  are pretty obvious although the purple crocuses are just lurking in the background. 

The rock sits in the middle of our front lawn and is a bit of a pain at times of grass cutting but I love it because it was disturbed by a plough and subsequently dug up on the family farm many years ago. It sat in the farm yard till my brother brought it on the 5 mile journey to my house in the large bucket of his forklift. It is all the more precious to me now as the farm was sold last year after being in the family since the 1940s. Our grandchildren also love to play on it!
