Routine

One of the German words for "routine" is "die Routine".

This was a pill holder I got when I was in hospital - typicallly I had to take some tablets 5 times a day, so I was given a little cup with a time written on the lid.

It's not easy to wake up at 4 in the morning in a strange room, and feel motivated to schluck down a couple of 800Mg tablets.

It's a little easier to do this now I'm home.

Home, where I can get up and have a shower, where I can make a cup of tea that tastes of tea, and where I feel safe.

Oh and this tray can teach you a bit of German.

You can see here 4 times of the day and their Englisch equivalents- Morgen/Morning, Mittag Noon or Midday, Abend/evening & Nacht/night.  So how do you think you say "Midnight" then?  Logically, you would think, it would be "Mittnacht. Mittag is Midday, Mittwoch is middle-of.the-week (or Wednesday), so Mittnacht would be a pretty solid guess.

And wrong.

It's (die) Mitternacht.  Obviously.

Pills & Soap made my day.  Not like this though.
