Off the beaten track

A much less often seen view of Sharp Edge on Blencathra today - working on complex navigation scenarios with Fairweathergirl we left the paths behind and made our way up onto Mungrisdale Common. Traversing across from Brunt Knott and under the hanging mass of Foule Crag it was great to see a really well equipped toolbox put to use.
Progress was so good that we even ventured up* the snow covered Blue Screes onto Atkinson Pike and across to an intermittently in cloud summit - a good and hard entry into an increasingly impressive logbook.
