And so we are left, feeling quite bereft - that has always been the downside of living in the places we do... Need to concentrate now on all we need to do here, and look forward to the next visit, which isn't actually that long.

These figures are part of a large group, all looking up at the sky, on the roundabout at the entrance to Faro airport - it's called "Os Observadores", and is by Teresa Paulina - she won a competition for it at Algarve Univeristy. I risked life and limb and husbandly wrath, getting onto the roundabout and wandering about, trying to get just these two, without too much distracting background.
