Clackmannan Tower
Seen from the Black Devon wetlands.
We paid a return visit to the wetlands this afternoon and enjoyed a great walk round, exploring some of the paths. The wetlands were inhabited by the usual suspects, swans, mallard, tuftys, heron, etc but I thought to offer something else.
The five storey tower dates from the 14th century and was built on the orders of King David the second of Scotland.
Today's extra is a small machine apparently harvesting reed on the far side of the pond. Whether this is done simply to clear old growth or for some commercial reason, I know not. Any blippers any wiser?
My photo yesterday made the popular pages, many thanks to all who starred it.
