Three steps to heaven

This old mounting block, designed to ease the mounting of a horse, stands just outside the perimeter wall of the Old Parish Church of Marnoch.

Marnoch Old Church dates back to 1792 when it replaced the even older and now ruinous church which is still evident within the confines of the ancient graveyard on the banks of the River Deveron near Bridge of Marnoch. The church has been closed for regular services since 1991.
