Fiordland - the Norway of New Zealand

We were again very fortunate with the weather for our scenic journey through Fiordland with its towering mountains and beckoning fiords. It reminded me so much of the cruises through the Norwegian Fiords although the animals on the remote forested mountains here were possum and kiwis. Sadly as we left Fiordland we also bade farewell to New Zealand..... But what lovely memories I have to take home.

The journey across the Tasmin Sea the following two days was very bumpy and the Captain had to take a northerly detour to avoid swells of 9 metres!! The ginger capsules came in very handy.
