Walk now? Please?

Just because you brushed us and pulled out all those burrs, Kayla and I need to restock.
My laptop put on a Sleeping Beauty disguise for Carnival and only awoke, miraculously, on Ash Wednesday, so I'm even more behind than usual with my blips. I posted a couple of oldies last night and will try to catch up with the rest tonight, maybe just with photos.
We had almost decided that our poor cat should be put to sleep, but after talking with the vet this morning, we've going to try treating her for hyperthyroidism. I've just looked it up and she certainly has most of the symptoms. Anyway, let's hope it works.
Not having to trek across town to the vet's, and then organize a burial, left me time to faff about with plants and other long-neglected bits and pieces. I even brushed and combed our shaggy dogs. Chacha was obviously used to it in her previous life and cleans up quite well, but poor Kayla's long coat gets matted into rastafarian clumps. Of course, the effects of their grooming have not outlasted their first walk.

The rest of the day has slipped by too fast, like most Mondays, but a thunderstorm followed by prolonged, heavy rain persuaded us to stay here tonight and go back down to Rio tomorrow morning. Not ideal, with a dinner party tomorrow and no preparations made yet, but can't be helped.
