I received a phone call from the Chinese language association I belong to regarding my recent renewal of my membership which I paid last Friday. However, I was told to double check if I had paid it earlier.

I thought I hadn't but after searching through the piles I did see the paid evidence. It was after I handed over my position so I didn't make a record on the document which I kept until then. But my successor recorded it.

Well, not easy (and no need) to make a refund as it is a small fee. So we agree that it will be taken as my following year's renewal.
