Boulders again

R features again. He had been out on the most gruelling course, ran about 20km up and down the most horrendous rocks and through thick forest.  He was out for nearly 4 hours. Of the 90 runners in his class, just 44 finished the course. R was 42nd in 3:42; the last finisher took  4:27. He got a lot of kudos for not giving up.  I don't want to detract from R's success but the winners managed  1:40 but they are  superhuman World champions!! The weather did not help- it was cold , foggy and drizzly.  If any orienteers reading this want to see R's horrendous M21E course map click here here to see it on Google photos and let me know if this does not work. 
I was out for just 90mins and came back exhausted because the course was so physical today but they must be a hardy lot in the W60 class because all 11of us finished and I was last!   Mr P was the last finisher on his course too but 6  M60s gave up.
