On Thursday afternoon we came across a flat that looked promising so phoned to arrange a viewing for the next day. I took the afternoon off to go to the viewing so once again decided to make the most of the opportunity and had a lovely little break to myself in Eteaket. Yum.

We have found a new home! After weeks of frustration, it looks like we can really breathe a sigh of thankful relief. The flat is lovely. It is still a tenement building (hey, it's Edinburgh!) but is in a much less student-y area in the New Town, the building is nowhere near as dingy as ours now and the flat feels very much like somewhere we can all call home. I am particularly excited about the beautiful front door, having a living room (sofas!!) and a nice, fresh kitchen with pantry space.

Might I officially be an aDULLt?

All is not confirmed, however a phone call with the agent at the end of the day has given us no cause for concern and hopefully we can get it all signed off early next week :)

After Rainbows, I had a lovely long phone call with Cam - wonderful to catch up on life either side of the country and to gain that little push I need to get over the initial fumbling awkwardness to delve back into engaging with life more creatively.
