Close-up!

After a few frustrating false starts I managed to get out and about, only to be thwarted again. I planned to walk the long route along the ridge through Kings Wood above Trentham Gardens. But I only managed about a quarter of it as the woods were closed due to storm damage from Doris!

This is the view from the monument looking down along the lake towards the Italian Gardens and Trentham Church.

The large modern coloured building in the background is our local hospital - Royal Stoke University Hospital. And beyond that is Wolstanton Church spire, not far from where I live.
