I must admit, when we woke up to rain lashing against the window, I wasn't really looking forward to taking Noo to Oscar's outdoor birthday party. GravyC was looking forward to Eastbourne Half Marathon even less! As it happened, however, the weather brightened up for a couple of hours and all the children enjoyed learning how to light fires, build dens, and saw wood. They were rewarded with toasted marshmallows and hot chocolate . GravyC managed a very respectable time at Eastbourne too!

After a quick visit to Bexhill,
I went for my 'long run'. My tired legs could only manage 10 miles today
