Flanders and Swann - A song of the weather

I appreciate that the lyric doesn't scan properly unless you are prepared to mispronounce "wind" but click on the link if you've never heard this before, its worth a listen.


Well it has certainly been windy enough for Flanders and Swann's song of the weather today, but its also brought some very heavy showers  that have bucketed down the rain - rather more akin to April in the song's lyrics...

I managed to grab this shot in the garden in between downpours but had to use flash to freeze the movement of the daffodil :-)

Janet's recovery has not been without incident, but all seems well at the moment.  In the meantime yours truly has been cooking chilli con carne and bolognese meals this afternoon which are all now in the freezer.  They're for you Incredibish if you read this, we just have to work out when would be a convenient time to deliver them ...
