Park Life
The children relaxing in front of the enormous BBC screen in Mandela Square, Edinburgh, watching the Paralympics. All "very Edinburgh" - polite, quiet, inclusive, beer in evidence but no piss on the beanbags.
Big Clean Beanbags.
We went to town to see The Lorax at the Filmhouse "Weans World" season, with time either side to buy clothes for ever-growing wee folks and "look at" waterproof cameras. Ahem.
We also got Duncan a bike helmet after he fell on the way to the station, smacking his head off the kerb. He walked away with a trembling lip and a lightly scuffed elbow. And without a cracked skull. Which is rather good.
The old helmet went straight in the bin.
A meal in Gourmet Burger Kitchen on George Street, as spotted by Gordon, was brilliant before hurrying for the train and the lads' pal Reece coming over for a sleep-over.
Which all sounds lovely, and it was - but the constant shepherding of my small flock did wear me out a bit, so I hope we have good weather and lots of nothing tomorrow!
