Drill n Tap

The gate I bought off ebay for the alleyway doesn't fit (I knew it wouldn't) so I had to chop seven inches off the bottom. I was going to get it welded back together but, being a skinflint, decided to drill and tap the railings and bolt the bottom bit back on.
Good old tobacco tins - found in countless sheds of the mechanically-minded engineering types around the world I suspect.
