Crucial Conversion

Middle son Matthew was playing rugby for Malton 2nd XV this afternoon. It was a local derby match against Scarborough. An error strewn first half led to Malton being 17 - 3 down at one point. However they suck to their task drawing back to 17 all and the 20 all as penalties were exchanged.

A break out of defence led to a try and fortunately it was converted as Scarborough came back to score out wide. They were unable to convert and the final score ended up as 27 - 25.

Matthew scored a try however the referee discounted it. I have the photographic evidence to show he scored but unfortunately it did not count!

Thought about whether to crop out the arms but decided it added context to the shot.
