Matinee

I thoroughly enjoy theatre and wish our visits were more frequent.  This afternoon, we went to a favourite theatre - Royal Lyceum in Edinburgh - to see a production of Shakespeare's 'Winter Tale'.  It was superb.  The quality of the acting is always very high and the production managed to include plenty of Scottish-ness and not in a daft way.  And most lived happily ever after with the help of some magic.

Matinees are good.  Maybe its ageing but concentration in the evening is often difficult to sustain.  And we can come home to a curry and a bottle of wine.  A fine way to end the day.

The grainy blip is of a part of the excellent Lyceum ceiling taken from our economy seats.
