Buzzy bees

Dissatisfied with his old camera, W relieved eBay of a Nikon D5300 with a Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 last week. So, now we're Nikon buddies, we can swap lenses. Today I had a go with the Tamron instead of my Nikkor 18-200mm zoom which I'd been, in the manner of all bad workmen, blaming for the muddiness of my photos. Turns out the Nikkor when used fully zoomed in really isn't very good - W had a go with it and confirmed what I'd been suspecting (hoping!) and also found some reviews to back up his findings. I know my photography has room for a lot of improvement but it hasn't been helped by the lens sabotaging my attempts to get better. Now the challenge is to find excuses to hang onto the Tamron for a bit longer.  The downside being while I do I have fewer reasons for turning out dud shots!

While I was giving the Tamron a road test this little honey bee was enjoying the heather with many of his friends and lots of big bumbles too.
