Should it be the left? Pit latrine does have a door but there's a huge stag beetle gasping its last breath whilst entangled in a spider's web directly over where I'd need to squat. Web owner hoving into view and dozens of spidery mates scuttling around the hole in the floor.

Or the right? No door but fewer spiders. Huge wasp nest occupying a corner of the block, so a race against time before they awaken at my most exposed moment.

At least a) no large chameleon was emerging from the hole, as once has happened to DeeAnn as she was squatting, and b) no clouds of bees were guarding both latrines, as was the case last time I was here. It may seem a bad choice but the situation has improved.
