Marlborough Waterfront (Wednesday 1st March 2017)

A quickie blip taken as I passed through Marlborough on Wednesday. I took a look at the Waterfront Gardens to see what was on the Kennet. A kingfisher had been there quite recently, I was told, there was a coot quietly drifting by the reeds, some long-tailed tits in the trees and this pair of mallards quite nearby.

I saw Graham Parker and the Rumour around this time at a concert recorded for the BBC, and I used to listen to the first couple of albums, Howlin' Wind and Heat Treatment, quite a lot, but somehow no longer had either either album, until this day, when Heat Treatment was added to my collection. This was the final track and one of only two that Graham Parker still approves of, according to his liner notes.
