How many men does it take to plant a tree?

The answer is obviously three - as evidenced by the tree-planting gang that appeared on the Green first thing this morning.  You need one man in the little digger (he's the lucky one because there's a canopy over the top to keep the drizzle off him).  You need one with a shovel to do any manual work required and presumably actually plant the tree.  And then you need someone to keep an eye on the other two.

What you also need (I'm sorry to say) is a CCTV camera fixed up somewhere near to keep an eye on the tree in case something like this happens again ...........................
