Umbrellas and a warehouse
Borough market is one of the oldest and well recognised in London. Located close to London Bridge there has been a market in some form or another here for a thousand years. Now the market plays host to stalls selling all sorts of lovely stuff and is surrounded with cafes, pubs and businesses making their home in some of the old warehouses which occupies this area.
This picture was taken in one such place just away from the main hustle and bustle of Borough in Brew Wharf Yard, an area which at one point would have had a strong link to brewing but also to the wine trade and the movement of wine around the world.
It's anyone's guess why these umbrellas were covering the yard but their colours are striking particularly against the earthy tones of this old warehouse building.
