Loch of the Lowes

We visited Loch of the Lowes nature reserve this morning and spent an enjoyable half hour or so observing the birds on the loch. This is where one of the few pairs of Scottish Ospreys have their nest. I think they have left for Africa now, as there was no sign of the birds in residence.

If you zoom in on this blip, you might be able to see the impressive nest near the top of a pine tree just down from the dip between the two hills.
