Signs of Spring

Weeds and all.
We need to choose a tree or trees to replace the walnut tree felled by the snow in January. I expected to find a list of recommended trees on the Friends of Trees website, but couldn't get the list to open, so I asked. They emailed back saying I had just missed the planting in St Johns for the season and would let me know when they reactivate the online system in the summer. Geez, I just wanted to see the list to start researching the possibilities. May not go through them, even if it costs more not to. That'll show them, won't it!
