Testing Ground

What do you call a collection of weather stations? I've no idea.

Today the latest weather box went out for testing to see if it keeps the rain out, and allows enough air to circulate. All three weather boxes on the left are all set up temporarily to see how they perform.

The little weather box on the wall was part of an experiment to compare the temperatures on south and north facing walls, and it never got taken down. The large weather box is the one we use to record our weather data. Finally the remote digial weather station provides a wealth of other data, some of which we publish.

Thankfully you can't see the other digital weather station or the bits on the roof.

If you want to make a weather box there are lots of suggestions on our Weather for Schools website. These ones being tested have not been added yet. Better see how they perform first.
