From Wilton to Wylye (the Big Walk)

Starting from before sunrise to six hours later, a 12 mile hike right through the entire length of Grovely Woods, over to Wylie, then walk back over several ridges (198m being the highest, with great views) to Dinton, for the return bus home. 

This quite cropped shot belies the freezing wind that really took any pleasure completely away from standing around waiting for and photographing the daily giant orange orb to rise above the trees, about 3 miles away.

For my mental health needs, I'd much have THIS giant orange orb than any purple inflatable 'blackcurrant'!
