Getting ready

I know that some of those who follow my blips enjoy the occasional "behind the scenes" picture of Parliament and Government I sometimes get the chance to take.

This is one of them - captured (much to the surprise of the other passengers) in one of the lifts this morning when I spotted two Parliamentary staff taking the table nameplates up to a committee room where , shortly, a Minister Iand some other people) would probably be giving evidence.

Just a tiny part of the domestic arrangements that are necessary every day to make the place - and Scottish democratic accountability - work.
