Big Buddha

After yesterday's drama and stress of going to the hospital, I decided to have a relaxed day in Kandy and start to catch up with my backlog of blips.


I walked up to the huge white Buddha statue on the hill above the town. As I got there it was starting to rain so I didn’t linger. As I was walking down it poured and I sheltered under a tree. Eventually a tuk tuk stopped took me back to the city centre. I spent most of the rest of the afternoon in different cafes avoiding the rain.
