'n Kiekie 'n Dag

Watching creativity at work

Took the alien to the GP this morning. Like his colleagues before him, he didn't know what it was, but didn't want to admit it. Now I'm armed with bactorban. At least he prescribed something that's good (for other things. Will have to see what the alien thinks of it's abilities.)

When we came back we phoned to make appointments for our passport interviews. Another thing done. On a Saturday nogal!

To celebrate I had eggs on toast & C peanut butter & honey on toast. Off the record: The only cooking I can do relatively well is fry eggs.

The rest of the morning & early afternoon was spent making earrings. C made the earrings & fun charms & I played with the beads. Swarovski's in a variety of shapes & sizes, blue sandstone, coral, turquoise, miracle beads, plastic beads, spacers. Sheer enjoyment. Small things amuse ...

I also played with the camera - 3 in fact because the battery on 2 went during the "shoot". Hope C will blip one of the finished products.

Now C is cooking lamb hearts with onion, sweet pepper, tomato & potato (for the gravy, I've been informed) to be served with C's special garlic mash.

Am I spoilt or what?

"Toe kom die skepe uit die weste
Wit seile oor die see
Om te vra vir kos en water
En te bly vir soveel meer
En die land wat een tyd oop was
Die land het ons verruil
Vir die ghetto's van die stede
Is ons koperdraad gegee
Halala, Afrika
Sasiphilia kamnandi
Mayibuye Afrika"
