Killer whales and the northern lights!

Well, today has been a pretty fantastic one on my favourite island :) Spent the morning in work looking at the glorious weather and wishing I was outside when we got a shout about killer whales being seen off the north coast of Mull. Understandably the office went a little crazy and we piled into a car! And it was stunning! And we saw two large bull orcas :D Incredible.

Then I spent the evening chatting and having dinner with friends which was lovely.

And then I was gonna go to bed but I kept hearing about aurora sightings and knew that I wasn't gonna rest until I went out and had a look. Sadly I think I was a little too late for the main show but still pretty chuffed with this.

I have to admit there are days when I wonder why the hell I packed in a well paid job and moved to a Scottish island but today was not one of those days. Today I was reminded that I made the right choice for me and I am super lucky to live where I do :)
