The Odd Couple

I love the way the tail of this goose is high in the air and it is so very white. I wonder if it could possibly be a pink footed goose; if so, it is very rare to see him here. Even if it isn't that goose, isn't he beautiful?

Now the weird part, these two were definitely hanging out together. They were on the shoreline when I first got to the lake and then they got into the lake and swam together the whole time I was there. We were fascinated by them especially when a female mallard joined them and  the male mallard totally ignored her!  Please see the extras too.
