Front row seats

Went to the annual jazz picnic in the apple orchard. No famous names, just enthusiastic locals playing jazz standards. Jazz is often more suited to late nights in dimly lit venues rather than warm sunny days in the open air. But it did draw a much younger audience, who were enthralled for at least 2 minutes before running off to get ice-cream.
