La Boqueria, Barcelona
La Sagrada Familia, Camp Nou, Barrio Gotico, Park Guell and La Rambla are just some of the attractions in Barcelona. By far my favourite place to visit is Mercat de la Boqueria. This mainly covered market is full of stalls selling jamon, fresh meats, spices, seafood, cheese, wine, sweets, fruit drinks and anything else you can think of. It also has some great tapas bars to while away the time people watching. If more cities had something like this maybe we wouldn't have to spend so much money on plastic food in Tesco's, Sainsbury's or Carrefour. It's almost impossible to find chillies in a Spanish supermarket but La Boqueria has a stall devoted to them. This guy should set up a stall in Glasgow where he'd do a roaring trade.
