Regenbogenschnipsel

"Ein Regenbogen" is a rainbow. "Ein Schnipsel" is a little piece, a snippet.

Schnipsel is also one of those very rare words that can take 2 articles and the meaning remains the same - "das Schnipsel" is fine and so is "der Schnipsel".  The only other one I know of is "der/das Sakko" (a suit jacket).

There is also one word that I know of that can take all three articles and has a different meaning with each:
der Band - is a volume of a book (Encyclopaedia Britannica for example)
die Band - is a musical band
das Band - is a ribbon, tape or ligament

Which is one reason why articles matter.
