Argyll and Bute AST
Off early today to drive to Inveraray to join a meeting of the Argyll and Bute Area Support Team - the volunteers who manage the operation of the children's panel members locally. They manage recruitment, observation and feedback, deal with issues locally, ensure local learning and development sessions take place and provide support, assisted by some local authority staff.
There is an understandable focus on the panel members themselves volunteers who are the public face of the system for those families appearing at hearings. But the AST volunteers play an equally valued role. One of the extras is of some of the members in the primary school conference room.
The other photos are of the trip up and back. The bridge is at the head of Loch Fyne, the sunset is from Stirling looking west. The blip is of what to me was a lochin, but on the map is, I think, Loch Restil just after the Rest and be Thankful on the A83. The colours and light were so refreshing.
